Ingredients (8 persons):
For Flan: 3 egg yolks1 whole egg1 cup evaporated milk/fresh milk1/2 cup condensed milk
For Batter:1 cup cake flour1/4 cup sugar2 tbsp. baking powder1/2 cup evaporated milk/ fresh milk2 tbsp. oil
For Meringue:3 egg whites1 tsp cream of tartar (COT)1/4 cup sugar
How to prepare:
Flan:
Mix all ingredients then strain, put in your desired llanera with carameralized sugar. Cover it with foil and steam for 20 mins.
Cake batter:
Mix all ingredients and set aside.
Meringue:
Beat egg whites, add COT then add sugar gradually.
Then add meringue to cake batter using cut and fold. And if the flan is done add the cake mixture and steam again for another 25 mins. Cover it with foil.
